Back from Bristol March 17th

Well I am finally back home from Bristol where I went to see the race Saturday and Sunday. Now I know that most people who are reading this could care less about NASCAR or racing but I will bet that some of your husbands do!! Go ahead and ask them if they would want to go to Bristol Tennessee......... It was a great weekend but I am sooooo glad to be back home. I missed Allison, Madison and Dawson way too much.

The visit with the Neurologist went very well. She continues to be very impressed with how well he is doing developmentally. He is into EVERYTHING now. Whatever he sees he wants to pick up. And if it's in arms reach he will go to whatever lengths necessary to get a hold of it. We dont have any results back yet from the spinal tap or blood work but she said he PET scan came back perfectly normal.

We are going up on the Topamax, staying the same on the Keppra, and continuing with the B-6 therapy for at least another week and see what happens. We are anxious now to get the results from his latest testing and as usual it's hard to just sit and wait.

Seizures have been about the same today unfortunately. We wish like crazy that these things would just GO AWAY. I know this blog seems like a huge ramble and I apologize. I usually try to be more organized in my thoughts but I am EXHAUSTED from the weekend and can't wait to sleep tonight. Thanks for your prayers and for taking the time to check on Dawson

We love you
Jeff and Allison

BTW we got pictures back from his last trip in the Hospital and We will post those tomorrow

Jeff, Bear's Uncle (that has the pool business) was at Bristol this weekend, as well. Of course, Bear caught most of it on TV, too. So, you are not alone!
Alli sounded like she really missed you, so I know she is glad to have you home! Thanks for the update on the tests....can't wait to hear the other results.
We are all just hanging in here, waiting for warmer weather. We are getting the backyard ready for some major pool-partying....so prepare yourselves!!! The little guys will have to come and check it out (all 4 of them). :)
Enough on the essay, I'll talk with you guys soon.

I'm a mom and I am jealous you were at the races! Not sure Bristol would be my top choice of a track to go to, but I just want to GO again. We are hoping to go to the Vegas race next year, since we'll be out there anyway that week.

Anyway. It is so good to hear that developmentally Dawson is still doing well. Of course you WANT the seizures to stop, but his development in just as important. Remind me, is he still having hypps? I am sure you are well versed on Topamax, but just a reminder that Austin had a really TOUGH time with the heat... even here in NY and on a very low dose. Something to keep in mind. I hope it helps his seizures though!

As far as we know the Hypps are gone. We still do not have the report from his last EEG that was done last week. Hopefully they are still gone. As well as he is doing i have to suspect that they are . Thanks for the comment and as much as I liked Bristol. Talladega is the place to see the best racing. Thanks for the comment Jen
